Greetings everyone. So far
this year we have had some fun Chapter Get Together sessions and rides. More are
planned for the future and you can see what is coming up by going to the chapter

The next monthly Get Together will be May 3 at Nielsen's Restaurant in Tulare.
Breakfast at 8:00 AM followed by a discussion session at 9:00 AM. There was a
great turnout in April with several new guests. We are looking for a good
turnout again in May. A Parking Lot Practice for enhancement of riding skills
for anyone who may want to participate will follow the meeting. Site location
for the practice will be announced later.
The next Business Meeting of officers (this meeting is open to all GWRRA chapter
participants) will not be held as scheduled on April 15. It has
been moved to April 19 (next Saturday) as part of the camp out weekend event. If
you are planning on being at the camp out, you are welcome to sit in on any
business discussions for the chapter.
Regarding the camp out, it is open RV owners (there is a charge for a space) and
tent campers (no charge). The camp out is at Quail Valley Resort near California
Hot Springs. Full hook-ups are available for RV units and reportedly, there are
shower facilities on the property. Each person is responsible for their own
camping needs including food for meals, beverages, plates, eating utensils, ice
chests, chairs, etc.
Regarding meals, there is one exception to the above. Saturday evening, we are
having a potluck dinner and asking participants to bring a side dish or
dessert. The chapter will purchase meat, bread, salsa and some condiments for
the potluck. Meat will be prepared in crock pots.
On Saturday at the camp out, a motorcycle ride is planned for those who may be
interested in seeing some of the mountain area. It will begin around 10:30 AM.
For chapter participants, including family members and friends who are not
planning to camp out but would like to come up on Saturday for the ride and/or
potluck dinner, you are more than welcome. Anyone who has not already
indicated they will be participating, please call Sherry Rhoten at 559-542-0103
or Phil Hill at 559-686-8867 to let them know so we can be adequately prepared
for the Saturday evening meal. They also can assist with directions to the camp
site.
